A Sunday Run

A dreary, overcast and cold Sunday in February- time for a run! Fortunately, I have not planned a marathon for spring so I don’t need to do any long runs.

My Sunday run is 13.4km long and starts off in the city. It’s an out and back course.

It follows the river Sihl. The view below of the river is spectacular in Sommer when all the trees are lush and green, but today it looks a bit sad. My run takes me past the Google offices and a Sushi restaurant called “Kai”.

After about 1.5km, I leave the city and run through open fields and forests. On a sunny day, it’s beautiful but today it just looks very grey. Oh, and the field below is banned for dogs! So no scary encounters with our barking friends.

Running next to a river also means that the course is fairly flat – suits me on a Sunday!  The turning point is a wooden bridge where I always stop and stare at the river below.

So this was my Sunday run! I was happy to get back into the warm apartment.
